Providence is a Southern Baptist Church and is part of the Peninsula
Baptist Associatation (PBA) which is a group of churches joined for outreach and to help strengthen faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Service times are at 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. with Children's Church and Sunday School offered for all ages.
Our worship music is celebratory in nature, and includes hymns, choruses, and praise songs that edify and encourage, with lyrics that are Biblical and Christ-centered.
Discipleship Training classes are offered for preschoolers through adults.
Our teaching applies relevant Biblical truths to modern times.
Our congregation spans all generations, and there are ministries for every age group.
We want you to feel comfortable worshiping with us, whether you choose to wear casual clothing or dress more formally.
We believe a life of service to God and His people is a life of true
joy.
Our Location
We are located one mile west of US 17 on route 636 (Providence Road). ( Contact us for
directions). Our congregation comes from all over the Hampton Roads area,
and we are located on the Middle Peninsula, which makes us easily accessible to the
Gloucester, Matthews, Middlesex, and York counties. |

| Men's Ministry Community Dinner: Saturday, November 22 @ 11:30 a.m.
Thanksgiving dinner will be prepared and delivered to shut-ins and others who may not be able to have a thanksgiving dinner with family this year. Thanksgiving dinner
will also be served in the church fellowship hall this afternoon to those who wish to come and eat. The dinner is free to the community.

| Thanksgiving Eve Service: Wednesday evening, November 26 @ 6:30 p.m. We will be led in worship by the Sanctuary Choir,
and will sing songs of thanksgiving and praise to our Lord Jesus! We will partake of the Lord's Supper, and have a time of testimonies, followed by a devotional
by the Senior Pastor. Don't miss this opportunity to come to the house of the Lord and proclaim your thanks for all He has done for you!

| 22nd Annual Living-Singing Christmas Tree: Friday-Sunday, December 5-7
This year's presentation is just around the corner! Concert times are 7:00 p.m. each evening, and there will be a 3:00 matinee performance on Sunday, December 7.
A community orchestra will accompany the choir again this season. The choir will present Michael W. Smith's "A Manger Suite" in the 2nd half of the concert. Tickets are free, and may be
picked up from the church office or reserved by calling 804.642.5812.

| A concert of seasonal music will be presented by Phillip Higgins, our Associate Pastor of Music on Sunday evening,
December 14 @ 6:00 p.m. Mr. Higgins is an accomplished pianist, and will be showcasing arrangements of Christmas Carols that are on his CD entitled, O Night Divine. Copies of the CD will be
available for purchase after the concert for $10.00 a piece. All proceeds will go towards the church's $12,000 goal for the Southern Baptist Lottie Moon Christmas Offering.

| Living Nativity: December 23 from 6:00-8:30 p.m. Come and see the Nativity of the Lord Jesus! Live animals will be
used, and refreshments will be served.

| Christmas Eve Candlelight Communion Service: December 24 @ 5:00 p.m. This is a
favorite service of so many during the church year. We will sing traditional Christmas Carols, and be ministered to by the Sanctuary Choir. Come and celebrate
the birth of the Lord Jesus with us this Christmas Eve!
