Worship Director: Eden Blaylock

eden4Eden Blaylock is a hometown girl that has lived in Gloucester for 25 years. After she graduated from GHS, she served at a coed camp sponsored by the WMU of VA. “I always knew that God wanted me to do something with music, but until I began serving at Cross Roads Camp and Conference Center, as their special programs director, I had decided I was going to be a band director.” God's call for her life was as clear as the mountain air around her. “I want others to think of Him, to know Him, and thereby experience Him.” Eden studied Music and Worship Studies at Liberty University. From there she taught for a couple of years at a pre-school for children with autism, and then began serving as Music Intern at Providence in 2010. The rest is history☺

Administrative Office Manager: Lisa Richardson

MekuaiA Yorktown girl the majority of her life, Lisa accepted Christ at a peninsula church at the young age of 8 through attending the Awana program. Lisa has an Associate in Applied Science Degree in Computer Programming from a local college. Being the young, naïve girl that she was, she soon realized that an Associate’s degree was not enough to land her in the field of Computer Programming and soon landed in the field of accounting for three major peninsula businesses instead. At 21, she married her sweetheart, and their adventure began with God granting them 3-stairstep little boys and a life involving family, homeschooling, a move out west and back, traveling, hiking, and photography. God joined Lisa’s life journey to Providence’s journey in March of 2013. Lisa has enjoyed using her gift of administration and other talents for God’s glory here at Providence as well as serving and getting to know the Providence family and the community it serves.

Administrative Assistant: Wanda Hansford

WandapxWanda moved to Gloucester in 1976. She is the mother of two grown sons and a daughter. She has been blessed with eight wonderful grandchildren. Some of her greatest pleasures come from watching her grandchildren play the sports they love. Wanda became a member of Providence in 1993 beginning her journey with a church family that she has grown to love and has had the privileged to serve in many areas of the church. She became Administrative Assistant in October 2000 and continues in that position today. She loves the majestic beauty of the mountains, relaxing sounds of the waves at the beach, a good book and trying new recipes.
